Vocalist, author and speaker Mattie Montgomery will be the guest host for Spiritual Enrichment Week in chapel next week. The chapel times on Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be 10 a.m. in Herrick Chapel. The services for Tuesday and Thursday will be at 11 a.m.

Spiritual Enrichment Week is a recurring chapel series focused on re-energizing the Judson base with discussions about real-life, practical topics.

Montgomery is uniquely equipped to take on this task. He has managed to squeeze a lot into his 30 years on this earth. For more than a decade, he was the lead vocalist for the hard core Christian band, For Today. While with the group, he was involved with the production of five albums. On his own, he produced at least two. He is also the author of “Lovely Things in Ugly Places” (Mattie Montgomery Ministries, 2016) and “Scary God: Introducing The Fear of the Lord to the Post-Modern Church” (Thomas Nelson, 2018).

Moreover, this vocalist-turned-evangelist is the founder and president of Awakening Evangelism, a ministry that provides instruction and support for people who want to grow in their ability to share the Gospel and advance the Kingdom “fearlessly.”
